Why do I have to prepare a design statement? |

At present, Design Statements are usually requested for very large projects to provide an understanding of the rationale behind the design of the project. The Government have recognised the importance of this information and are also committed to improve the quality of physical projects. They have therefore included a statutory requirement to prepare a Design Statement as part of the Planning and Compulsory Purchase Act 2004. |
